Fatted Calf Charcuterie

The branding of Fatted Calf Charcuterie contains every element that I adore: simplistic typography, chevron print, and a black and white color palette. Great design  clearly visually communicates with the consumer, and there's no doubt Fatted Calf does just that. Their labeling has a personal approach, allowing the staff to write in the necessary details. The handwritten aspect of their packaging personifies the company's handcrafted quality products. Although the Fatted Calf Charcuterie is no longer using this branding program, I do very much enjoy what graphic designer, Victoria Herrera, designed.

A Cheese Shop Owner's Business Card

There are all kinds of creative business cards out there, but I've never come across one that doubles as a cheese grater. No need to bring out that clunky cheese grater for garnishing pasta. Isn't this "grate"?
Design conceptualized by advertising agency JWT for Bon Vivant, a cheese shop in Brazil.

Hungry for Type

The pow! in your face typography of this book really caught my attention. Inspired by an english 50's phone directory, Kobi Benezri does a great job in composing a harmonious yet impactful book design. The geometry and framed texts gives off an organized "chaos" look and feel that I really enjoy. Kobi's  also adds some personal touches with hand-drawn maps and types. A guide to Chef's favorite restaurants? I wouldn't mind adding this to my library. I'd want to know where all the world's greatest chefs chow down, and this would look great on the coffee table too.
