Pretty Paper Placemats

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful July 4th weekend. I wanted to share these eco-friendly, beautifully illustrated paper placemats from Hester & Cook. They're printed with soy-based inks on recycled paper. Wouldn't it make great kitchen art?

Casual Entertaining

Ever since I spotted this bold graphic placemat, I could not stop thinking about it. I'm a sucker for patterns, and this one is dynamic and unique. As my source of inspiration, I conceptualized a table setting of  neutral-toned items to balance the bright colors of the placemat. It's a simple tablescape that I would love to enjoy during a casual dinner with friends.

3. Barneys New York napkin
4. Lenox "Tin Can Alley" khaki dinner plate available at Macy's

A Cheese Board for Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day why not enjoy an after-dinner cheese board filled with rich chocolate, a creamy, silky cheese, fresh raspberries to complement, and glass of sparkling wine to toast?

Fairy Tale Cheese Party

Once upon a time I came across these adorable wooden bread and cheese boards on Anthropologie .
"What a great way to serve rustic breads and artisanal cheese," I said to myself. As the main source of inspiration, I began to conceptualize a romantic, fairy tale cheese party fit for a princess. The End. :)

I'm a Barbie Girl

When I came across this plate from French Bull , the illustration style reminded me of the Barbie home I played with as a child. It was a portable house that you could carry around with you, and consisted of an illustration style very similar to this plate. As my main inspiration piece, I wanted to create a dinner party for the modern Barbie. Wouldn't Bar be the perfect candidate? She's fun, stylish, and even the letters B-A-R of her name are the first three letters in Barbie!
