Decadent Dining at Slater's 50/50

There's no denying it; I love burgers. The messier, the BETTER. I had the best burgers I've ever had thus far at the Slater's 50/50 San Diego location . They won my taste buds and my heart with their 50/50 patty-50 percent ground bacon and 50 percent ground beef. The patty itself  was plump, juicy and seasoned to perfection. You can choose to custom make your own burger or order one of their burger creations. What ever you decide, I assure you that it will all be good!


The Motherlode- My custom burger creation consisting of Slater's 50/50 patty with brie, danish blue cheese, grilled onions, tomato, roasted red pepper, mixed greens and mayo on a wheat bun. That's how I roll. Just look at the way the bun glistens!


 Don't forget to order a side of sweet potato fries with pumpkin dipping sauce. Yes, pumpkin sauce. What a genius pairing! I nearly devoured the whole plate of fries.

Last but not least...Peanut Butter & Jellousy-Slater's award winning burger topped with peanut butter, strawberry jelly and thick cut bacon on a honey wheat bun. 
I had a bite of this burger and it changed my life! Although I enjoyed my burger, this was INSANELY DELICIOUS. I laughed out loud in the restaurant because I was just surprised that it was that good! Every component worked in harmony. There's the sweetness of  the strawberry jelly, the salty bacon, and the oh so creamy (quality) peanut butter that coated the patty like gooey cheese. Oh, yes!


And to gulp everything down, choose from their great selection of craft beers on tap. They carry my favorite beer, Matilda!
