While browsing through my computer, I stumbled upon the work I created while working as a visual display associate at Macy's. It brought back a myriad of wonderful memories. By far, this has been one of the most creative jobs I've held while in college. Developing an idea, executing it, and having it seen by the public was rewarding. Working as a visual associate helped me build my creativity, presentation, and time management skills. I learned to work with accuracy while being efficent. Every job holds valuable experience and great memories, and I'm so happy that I've worked at a job that allowed this. Here are some of my favorite projects.
Summer action sports swim trunk display. I painted the wall blue and used contact paper to create the stripes.
Spring Safari trend presentation. I was in charge of free-hand painting zebra stripes
This was a contest project for the Northern California region. It involved coming up with a creative way to advertise the city safari tote. My boss put me in charge of this project and we won first place. Yay!
When Ed Hardy was all the rage, I was given the task to create a panel design to bring more attention to the new shoe line. I meticulously drew and and painted this. It was quite a task, but I'm pleased with the results.
A background was needed to reinforce the illustration on the baby clothes and visual up top. In a grand scale.
Talk about grand scale. Every year during Christmas, Macy's promotes a new stuffed animal. We weren't provided with much marketing material, so I created a 6 foot Horton to catch the attention of the shoppers. Horton was hand-drawn on a large piece of foam core, carved out with a blade, applied with contact paper to prevent warping, and painted with a whole lot of grey paint.
